World Cup Matches - Book Early, Plan for Traffic in Seattle

Seattle will be hosting some World Cup matches the week of the wedding (6/15, 6/19, 6/24, and 6/26). If you choose to take the Lightrail or travel downtown on those days, traffic may be heavier than usual. Downtown Seattle hotels are also booking very quickly. More details here. 

WHERE TO STAY

We recommend staying either in Downtown Seattle, Issaquah, Redmond, or Bellevue. Downtown Seattle would have more access to tourist destinations (Pikes Place, Space Needle, Ferries, etc) and restaurants/bars while Issaquah would provide slightly easier access to hiking and the Cascade Mountains. Redmond is close to parks and trails, and Bellevue has plenty of restaurants, shops, and easy access back into Seattle. Hotels in Seattle and Bellevue are already getting quite booked out due to the World Cup.

Seattle Marriott Redmond

• Unfortunately, our Hotel Block has filled up and rates on the main Marriott Website have increased significantly, but better rates can still be found through other booking sites (ex: American Express). 

• 34 minute drive to the venue

• We plan to stay at this hotel and have an after-party on Saturday after the reception within walking distance of this hotel.
